Steve Liebowitz, Ed.D.
His professional career began 1966, completing Peace Corps training as an English teacher for Ethiopia. He completed three years of Army with tours at top secret installation outside Washington, D.C., Viet Nam and Wiesbaden, Germany.
He earned his Doctorate, Human Resource Development (FIU, 1991) Masters Degree, Health Care Management (FIU, 1977), Public Administrations (FAU, 1974).
Throughout 27 years as human resource developer with Miami-Dade County Government, he kept active in his community: American Society for Training and Development; Hospice, Inc. - now Vitas; F.I.U. Alumni Association; International Coaching Federation; South Florida Writers Association; American Society for Public Administration, and Florida Speakers Association.
Along with adjuncting at F.I.U., St. Thomas, U. of M. and Miami Dade, Dr. Liebowitz served on the National Faculty of Pepperdine University in California.
He received awards from Junior Achievement Inc., International Society for General Semantics, Leadership South Dade, the National Association of Counties, the Bass Museum of Art and the Children's Museum of South Florida.
